This is going to be the first of the bye-outs. If it's anything like every other season, this will be the people who signed up with good intentions and then wandered off before doing anything. Next week will be the ones who showed up once and then wandered off... :) 

We will have a couple of those rounds until it becomes far less common as people fight as they hold on by their fingertips!

Last night's Screen Unseen was I Play Rocky. The biopic of Stallone and how Rocky came about. I *completely forgot* that he wrote it! (until I started seeing the trailers) 

It's definitely a testament to sticking to what you believe in and betting on yourself. He wasn't getting the acting jobs he wanted, so he wrote a script himself! (and how he fought for that to happen)

What are your plans for the weekend? MIne? Going to the movies of course. Attending Celena's hockey game, maybe games! (she has two a weekend, sometimes I can't get to the one further away. Much like I've never seen her Wednesday night games in the third league she plays in. No one outside her boyfriend, who plays on the team, has seen them!)

Movies I'm excited about this weekend include: 

Wildwood (I saw the first half hour or so and had to leave. I didn't HAVE to I guess. But I had one of those anxiety attacks and I just needed to get out of wherever I was and the place I was at was watching Wildwood. So I need to go finish it!!! It was REALLY GOOD but I've heard it gets GREAT)

Movies that haven't been getting good reviews, but I want to see anyway: 

The Mongoose  (Liam Neesen has a particular set of acting skills, and this movie seems like it could be fun) 
Klara and the Sun
The Mosquito Bowl

Movie that sounds really good, but I've only seen one review on, because it's Vietnamese:  Karaoke Murder.  See also Everest: The Other Side minus the being a movie from Vietnam. 

Movies currently out that I've seen that I would recommend if you happen to be looking for a movie to go see and for whatever reason wanted my advice, but didn't actually ask for it:

You Can See Everything 
Sense and Sensibility (if it's your kind of thing, it's my kind of thing so I loved it.)

A Talent for Murder (that's more a "maybe" on the list. But it was decent) 

The first two in that category I would be shocked to not see get nominations for Best Actor. You Can See Everything is probably going to be the first documentary to win Best Picture. (Unless there's something coming out in the next couple months that knocks it out of contention) 

Those last 3 are "that are enjoyable" but won't be nominated for anything.  :)

I've been coming into work extra early to (1) make up time and (2) because I didn't sleep much last night and (3) to keep my coworker from "being bored" and doing part of my job.   It's just running a report, but it becomes accessible sometime after 6am (it varies) so I've been here at 5:45am to be in place.  I had the tab open so when it showed, I could immediately do it.  It was 6:15 and the files started appearing... and just as quickly, they were vanishing.  A minute later, that coworker sent out the notification that everything was completed and then?  Then she logged off again. 

I'm probably more irritate than I would normally be because of the whole "lack of sleep" thing. But it's *really* annoying... especially since whenever she does stuff like this, it is defended as "she's trying to help. She just needs to work on her delivery"... No. She needs to help where it's needed and requested!

I don't have access to my spreadsheet where I'm recording everything from work, so I won't be officially letting you know that it's been received and recorded until I get back.  I also haven't started counting, so that might take a little longer than normal for the results. And yes, I acknowledge I made more work for myself.  :)  Never let it be said that I don't make my life more difficult than it needs to be!  :)

Because I've been away for several days, last night I rested and recuperated... oh wait, sorry, I misspelled "Went to the movies". 

There was that rare double feature combination of a "Screen Unseen" AND a "Scream Unseen" (which are always horror.  Given how many people DON'T like horror, it's smart that they keep those as separate names and categories). 

Screen was Christmas AT the Kringles. Which was actually a comedy/horror. If you really like those "that's just crazy bloody Christmas movies", it might be worth streaming at some point.  (EDIT TO CORRECT THE NAME)

Scream was Breeder. Which is only having a brief run in the theaters (starting tonight, which is rare/really weird to start a movie this early in the week). before moving to the Shudder streaming service.  That was actually pretty good. 

I saw Wildwood mentioned in a comment this weekend and I'm really looking forward to seeing it sometime this week. I've been hearing *great* things about it.  I have NOT been hearing great things about Klara and the Sun but still want to see it!
